After more than a decade of working side by side behind the chair, Abby and Robin built more than successful careers in the beauty industry—they built a friendship and professional partnership grounded in creativity, trust, and a shared passion for their craft. Day after day, the two stylists exchanged ideas, refined their techniques, and supported one another through the ever-evolving world of hair and beauty. Over time, a vision naturally began to take shape: creating a space of their own that reflected their style, values, and dedication to both their clients and continued education. That vision gained new life when Alana entered the picture. Her drive, fresh perspective, and belief in what the three of them could build together brought a renewed sense of excitement and momentum. What had once been a dream casually discussed behind the chair began to feel possible, as her passion and energy helped transform the long-imagined idea into a real and achievable plan. Together, Abby, Robin, and Alana formed a partnership built on experience, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future of their craft. Each woman brings her own strengths and creativity to the team, creating a powerful blend of seasoned expertise and modern perspective. Their story reflects the power of mentorship, friendship, and the belief that when talented people support one another, incredible opportunities can grow. That shared vision has now come to life with the opening of Mod Manes Salon, a modern salon built on creativity, mentorship, and community. As the doors officially open, Mod Manes Salon stands as a testament to what can happen when passion, friendship, and years of dedication align to bring a dream to life. For Abby, Robin, and Alana, Mod Manes is more than a salon—it’s the beginning of a vision built on collaboration, creativity, and the courage to dream bigger together.

Hi there, I am Abby and have been a licensed stylist for 19 years. Currently, as a new partner in owning Mod Manes Salon, I have truly never been happier. Being in our own new space we created and designed together has been a dream come true. Aside from this new and exciting venture, I love connecting with clients, hearing their wants and needs, and discussing the best path to achieve them. Hair has been my passion since I was a little girl. I love to continue to learn and grow, as this industry is forever changing. Getting to help make people feel good about themselves is one of the best parts. Not only am I doing my clients’ hair, I get to learn about these amazing people and share a small part of their lives through the good, the bad, and the ugly. And in return, they share a part of mine.
Alana Hormez
Hi, I’m Alana — a 20 year old hairstylist passionate about creating confidence through hair. I specialize in blonding and lived-in modern looks that are tailored to each client’s lifestyle. My goal is to make every person who sits in my chair feel beautiful, heard, and empowered. For me, it’s always been about more than just hair — it’s about the experience and I would love to see you in my chair next🤍
Robin Cavanaugh
I’m 37 years old—born and raised in the country, now thriving in a big city with a fast-growing fashion scene. My passion for beauty started early. During my junior year of high school, I began cosmetology school and graduated before receiving my diploma, proudly continuing my late grandmother’s dreams. With almost 20 years in this industry, the learning never stops, but creating lived-in, low-maintenance, effortlessly beautiful styles will always be my favorite thing to offer my clients. I also love sharing my knowledge—mentoring and training the next generation of hairstylists as they work toward earning their cosmetology licenses. When I’m not behind the chair, I’m happiest outdoors, especially when I’m out on the water boating.
